"Short story to add to the fantasy world created by Cheyenne McCray."

This fantasy romantica e-book is the fourth installment of Cheyenne McCray's Seraphine Chronicles and the first "quickie" (short story) of the series. Since this is a short story and I have been a fan of the Seraphine Chronicles from the beginning, I ended up wanting MORE. But hey... I always want MORE from Cheyenne McCray's books... call me greedy. ;-)

The story takes place in the mythical world of Dair and it tells of the overseer To'en's claiming of the fairy queen Anistana as his mate.

The match of To'en, an overseer of "substance" (read the book and you will know what I mean) and queen Anistana is perfect. They are evenly matched in terms of power and drive, which brings forth the erotic standards to which Cheyenne McCray has gotten us accustomed to, which makes this quite a hot read. To'en is a powerful hero determined to convince Anistana that they belong together. Anistana is as stubborn as you can get, but she is quite intrigued by the powerful, handsome, and mysterious overseer, making the chase enjoyable, albeit short, due to the length of the story.

Anyone who has not read the Seraphine Chronicles' main arc trilogy (FORBIDDEN, BEWITCHED, and SPELLBOUND) should read those first. It is not indispensable but a reader not familiar with the trilogy will likely feel a little bit lost. Not to mention the fact that it would be useful to the reader if he/she knows both To'en and specially Anistana's backgrounds to be able to understand better what drew them to each other and their respective motivations.
