Serena Blackstone doesn't find Invictus so easy to ignore, though ,and with the help of her friend, the Castle's curator, she just might succeed in getting Cross' attention -- and love!

LUSTY CHARMS: INVICTUS is the short story introduction to Lani Aames' magical and mystically sexual new world. While short, Invictus is sure pleasing! Hot sex, sparkling magic, and the bright shiny expectancy of a new EC series will make any reader heady. Thankfully the length of the piece doesn't take away from the pleasure of the read. Invictus ends nicely within its short boundaries. To be noted, however, is Aames' flirtation with mild BDSM in this adventure. While adding thrill for some, Invictus may not be to every reader's taste.

Summary

Serena Blackstone, a non-magickal mundane, is the new librarian at Strange Castle. Irresistibly drawn to the dark and dangerous Dungeon Master, Invictus Cross, Serena sets out to seduce him.

Invictus Cross takes her up on her invitation with the intent of discouraging the sexy mundane. She shouldn't be at Strange Castle and she shouldn't be with him. His dark past is sure to come back to haunt him and he doesn't want Serena caught in the crossfire.
