"A contemporary quickie - life in the LA fast lane"

Samantha Layton worked two jobs to get through culinary school and survived having her husband leave her for another woman while she was seven months pregnant with their daughter. She'd opened her own successful bakery in LA but she hadn't been having much luck with her private life. Busy raising her daughter and running her successful bakery, Sam didn't have much time for a private life. Recently all she's been able to do was live vicariously through her roommate, Blaina Triton. Blaina was a struggling actress with the kind of life that had Samantha envious. One day Blaina receives an invitation to go to an exclusive party at a lavish Hollywood estate and invites Samantha to join her.

Connor Clarey was currently the hottest actor in Hollywood. In a very short time, he went from one-line parts that wound up on the cutting room floor to being one of the most sought-after actors. Recently Connor is starting to feel that something is missing in his life. None of the women he meets seem to be able to touch him. They all seem to be interested in him only for what he can do for them.

At the first glimpse of Samantha, Connor knew she was different from all of the women her had known before in LA. For one thing, she wasn't pencil thin and she had an innocent quality about her that he found himself unable to resist. When Samantha first saw Connor she couldn't believe that this gorgeous man was talking to her. Would Samantha be able to be the type of woman who had a one- night stand or would this be the beginning of something more?

I found this to be an enjoyable quickie from Ellora's Cave. The attraction between the characters was hot from the beginning. I just wish that this story was a full- length book.

Summary

Connor is bored out of his mind with all the fake women he's met in Hollywood. But one woman tempts him like no other, a woman far removed from his usual lifestyle. He's determined to have her tonight.

But one-night stands aren't always enough, even when you're just acting on impulse...
