"A contemporary marriage of convenience"
Doctor Kurt Silverman was having problems with his ex-
wife. She's using their son as a pawn in her sick power
games. Not only has she been telling their son lies about
him, but she's been refusing to allow them to see each
other except for a couple of times a year. Kurt's lawyer
doesn't hold out much hope for him. Since Kurt works so
many hours at the hospital and doesn't even own a house,
he doesn't appear as stable as the courts like to see
these days. Shelly Ware and Kurt have been friends for years. She
works as a physical therapist in the same hospital as
Kurt. Shelley has been secretly in love with Kurt but he
doesn't seem to notice her except as a friend. Recently
Shelley's sister has been very sick and it has Shelley
thinking about her biological clock. She's getting older
but none of her past relationships seemed to work out.
Thinking her last chance is a sperm donor, she decides
she's not completely comfortable with a stranger being the
father of her baby and starts to look at the men around
her. Getting her nerve up one night, Shelley asks Kurt to be her
sperm donor but he doesn't think he'd be able to do it.
Thinking it over later that night Kurt comes up with a
plan that would be beneficial to both of them. Since he
needs a stable home life to get custody of his son Kurt
thinks that the best plan would be for him and Shelley to
get married. That way he has a stable home life for his
son and she gets to have the child she's always wanted.
As time goes on will they grow closer together or will
they decide that they don't belong together? I found this to be an enjoyable story even though at times
it seemed a bit predictable. Some of the language seemed
a bit out of place for the characters and I found myself
being a bit distracted by this. Sexual content: Hard R, some crude language.
