REVIEW

"Will an evil witch keep this coven leader apart from his perfect mate?"

Witch Mandrake Morgan is the leader of the Coven of the Wolf, the largest coven of witches in Midwestern US. He's trying to find out which of his followers is leaking information to competitors in an attempt to weaken Drake's leadership. Drake knows that Warrick Bettencourt, a former member of the coven, is at the root of all of the coven's recent troubles. Warrick, a practitioner of chaos magick, embraces the dark side of magick.

Drake is startled to psychically sense an untrained witch at the coven's legal team's offices. Quickly, Drake realizes that he's found his complement, the woman who will be his perfect mate. Drake doesn't know why this woman never received any magickal training, but he knows that she will be his.

Lawyer Rhea Brown has been having strange experiences since she moved to Chicago. First, she heard voices in the house she inherited from her grandmother. Now she keeps having strange visions of having sex with an unknown man. Also, Rhea is able to communicate telepathically with this man. Who is he and what does he want?

Drake seduces Rhea on the astral plane before knowing her in real life. Once their union is consummated, Drake's leadership will be unable to be challenged. Of course, Warrick has a plan of his own for Rhea. If Warrick can keep Rhea and Drake from consummating their relationship, he thinks he will be able to take over as the coven's leader. Although a novice to witchcraft, Rhea is stronger than she appears and will fight on her own terms. Drake has his hands full with this feisty and independent modern woman.

DESTINY'S MAGICK is an interesting, sexy tale of magick in today's world. Although the ending is a bit abrupt, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. However, squeamish readers be warned. There is a sexual assault early on in the story perpetrated by one of Warrick's henchmen. Despite this assault, Drake and Rhea have a very sizzling relationship. Paranormal romance lovers should give DESTINY'S MAGICK a try.

Sensuality: Explicit sex, sexual assault (forced oral copulation - not by the hero), light bondage; sexually explicit scenes: 9.
