"A wonderful author, funny and sexy."
When Melanie's Aunt Penelope dies, she unexpectedly finds
herself an heir to part of her aunt's estate. Penelope left
almost almost everything to charities and a nice sum to her
stick-in-the-mud daughter, but to Melanie she left the
house and the money to cover its expenses plus a bit of
money to have fun with. To say Penelope's daughter was
furious would be an understatement. Gretchen vowed to get
the house back. Melanie sees the house and falls instantly in love with it.
After going home to clear a few things up, she returns to
explore her new home, only to find that it already has
other residents - eight males to be exact; her late aunt's
harem of sexy boy toys. At first Melanie tells the men to leave, although she is
attracted to them. The sheer idea of her aunt with eight
men is enough to shake her moral fiber. But when her best
friend Dawn comes for a visit, she finds her eyes opened to
a whole new world of possibilities. After great enjoyment of Chris Tanglen's novel A THIRD
PARTY, I was looking forward to AUNT PENELOPE'S HAREM. I
couldn't wait for this novel to be out. Unfortunately, for
me, it didn't measure up to the wait. I love Chris
Tanglen's writing style; it's funny and sexy and totally
imaginative. But this particular novel simply didn't feel
right to me. SPOILER ALERT: The thing that put me off the most was the speed at which
the "love interest" happened. I know in romantica there
should be a happy ending between the hero and heroine, but
to have them fall in love in the matter of a few days?
While surrounded by other men? That just seemed a bit too
farfetched for me. Rated NC-17 by the publisher.

SummaryMelanie Clover has a lousy job, no boyfriend, and neighbors
who like to have ridiculously loud sex. She is too shy to
handle the dating scene, and has resigned herself to a
chaste life spent playing mindless video games.
But when her beloved Aunt Penelope dies, Melanie inherits
her home and everything in it. Now, instead of a cramped
one-bedroom apartment, she has a mansion with a swimming
pool, a tennis court, luxurious furniture, spacious
bathrooms, a wide-screen television...and a harem.
Yes, a harem. A harem with eight handsome, muscular, sexy
men, all willing to cater to her every need. Melanie is
outraged to discover that Aunt Penelope's joyful nature and
unmatched zest for life took this kind of direction, but
her outrage turns to curiosity, and then to temptation.
After all, how often does a girl have eight love slaves to
call her own?
Aunt Penelope...you just got to love her ;-)
