"A sandpaper tongue . . . meow!"
Coming from a family of journalists, Merinus Tyler is
determined to prove herself to her overprotective father
and brothers. When information on a huge government cover-
up of genetic experiments on humans comes to her father,
Merinus is determined to approach the "cat hybrid" test
subject and get his story. Merinus is supposed to offer Callon Lyons a way to make his
situation public without endangering himself. On the run
and hiding from the "Genetic Council", always watching over
their shoulders and unable to settle, his life and those of
the other "hybrids" with him are not their own. Callon
knows another team of mercenaries is close on his heels,
and decides to avoid Merinus so that her life won't be in
danger. However, when her persistence brings her to the
attention of those self-same mercenaries, Callon has to
hide her from the Genetic Council to keep her alive. Merinus and Callon start experiencing a "mating frenzy" for
one another, and are unable to ignore it or make it go
away. The only cure is to mate. Beyond the not-just-hot-
but-scorching sex scenes, this book had a very entertaining
and well developed story line. I will definitely be
checking out what happens to the other "cat hybrids", as
well as the "wolf hybrids". Rated NC-17 by Ellora's Cave.
