"An exciting and sensual installment in the Darkland Saga!"
On a journey to discover the origins of his kind, Mathin, a
Haunt from the Darklands, travels to Earth with his friend,
Fallon. They want to contact those of their kind who chose
to stay behind. Much stronger and faster than humans, the
Haunt were persecuted by man, and so escaped to an
alternate dimension in order to prevent the extinction of
their race. The Haunt, man's so called "werewolf", were
easily hunted by man because of human women known as
sylphs, women who produced a pheromone no Haunt male could
resist. Andrea is conned into traveling to Alaska to keep house for
Fallon, her grandmother's employer, while Grandma takes a
vacation. Andrea is unaware that she is a sylph, or that
Fallon and his guest, Mathin, are Haunt. Mathin is
instantly in lust with Andrea, and decides to make her his.
Because of the circumstances of their visit, Andrea is soon
in danger from extremists who have recognized her as a
sylph, and Mathin chooses to take her to the Darklands
rather than allow her to be destroyed. Andrea learns
quickly that life is very different in the Darklands, but
Mathin makes it worth the sacrifice of leaving all she has
ever known. Mathin is another of the tall, dark, and dangerous variety.
While he is very much the alpha male, Andrea is certainly
no pushover or clinging vine. The dynamics between two
such strong people trying to compromise and work out a
relationship is very entertaining. I enjoyed this book
very much. However, I would love to know if Fallon will
get his own story, and whether we might get the complete
story of Rihlia and Jayems, secondary characters in Teasing
Danger, the first book of this series. (Hint! Hint! Ms.
Dawn.) Of course, all of the Haunt mentioned sound yummy,
so I sincerely hope we will hear more from the Darklands.

SummaryEver fall in love with the wrong man?
With a body to make a young girl sigh and a voice like
black velvet, Mathin is definitely the wrong man. He's not
safe, he's not stable . . . he's not even human.
Andrea doesn't know what she's getting into when she agrees
to visit her granny. Swept away to another world by a man
almost too hot to handle, she can't decide if it's a dream
come true or someone's idea of a sick joke. Romanced by the
light of the triple moons, entranced by Mathin's fiery
kisses, will Andrea give up her home on Earth in exchange
for -- Something wild!
