Leigh Temple has been having erotic dreams of Thor and his favorite bed wench. In the dreams, Leigh is Tianna, the bed wench. At a party held by a local businessman, Leigh is startled to find the man of her dreams in the flesh. But he's married and may be planning a hostile takeover of the company Leigh works for. So Leigh can't really be attracted to him, can she?

Jake Thornton has been trapped in a sham marriage for far too many years. Although his wife Sharon is beautiful, Jake finds her too needy to love. When Jake meets Leigh, the second-in-command of the company he plans to take over, Jake feels like he's finally found the love of his life. For some reason, he's reminded of the dreams he had when he was younger, of Thor and his favorite bed wench.

If you don't like stories where the hero and heroine have a love/hate relationship, this is not the book for you. The majority of BRANDED has Jake and Leigh hating each other and then having sex. As soon as the sex is over, it's back to hating each other. Both Leigh and Jake are guilty of saying very hurtful things to each other throughout the novel. Therefore, it's hard to believe that they love one another. Unless you're a devoted fan of Ms. Lee's novels, I recommend passing up on this one.

Summary

When Leigh Temple buys an old charm at a garage sale, she has no idea she has just purchased half of an enchanted hammer once shared by the fabled Norseman, Thor, and his favorite bed wench, Tianna. Neither does Leigh know Thor has spent an eternity searching for his lost love, but for some odd reason she is suddenly reliving portions of Tianna's life with the Norseman.

When Leigh meets Jake Thornton, the owner of Thor's half of the hammer, she feels an immediate attraction to the man, even though Jake's intent is to take over the company Leigh manages. Jake is just as amazed to find himself attracted to the nearly plain-Jane woman standing in the way of what he wants. Though they have ample reasons to distrust each other, Jake and Leigh are quickly drawn into a passionate affair neither can resist.
