Invictus Cross, castle alchemist, spends more time then he should thinking about librarian Serena Blackstone. Hired to catalogue the library of Strange Castle, she is a mundane and shouldn't be here. Serena is thinking of Invictus also, but she has plans on doing something about it.

INVICTUS is a short story with plenty of hot, descriptive sex but very little plot. Because the spanking was non- consensual, it spoiled this story for me, though I know there are other readers this would not bother. It was erotic, but there was no romance or love in the actions of the hero. I found it to be disappointing, more like an excerpt then a whole (although short) story.

Summary

Serena Blackstone, a non-magickal mundane, is the new librarian at Strange Castle. Irresistibly drawn to the dark and dangerous Dungeon Master, Invictus Cross, Serena sets out to seduce him.

Invictus Cross takes her up on her invitation with the intent of discouraging the sexy mundane. She shouldn't be at Strange Castle and she shouldn't be with him. His dark past is sure to come back to haunt him and he doesn't want Serena caught in the crossfire.
