Brianna has been selected to be the first Covenani Sorceress to join with her destined mates, Wizard Twins, in a millennium. No one knows why the practice was abandoned, but the magick of their world, Sentmar, is diminishing every year while the Wizard Twins of Cauldaran are kept apart from their Covenani counterparts. Already, the non- magickal people, the Seculars, are gaining power and are determined to eradicate the magickal people.

Drago and Lasan, the Veraga Twins, have waited years for Brianna, their intended Consort. No matter how stubborn she is, they must join with her as the first step to save all things magick. They can't understand why Brianna is so frightened of them when all they offer her is pleasure.

Brianna's former nurse has filled her head with lurid tales of the evilness of the Wizard Twins. Brianna is terrified of her body's reactions to Drago and Lasan and wants to be left alone. But when Brianna is threatened, only Drago and Lasan can protect her and keep her safe.

Brianna is a perfect foil for both Drago and Lasan. She doesn't hesitate to challenge Drago's hardheadedness and can outlast even Lasan's patient nature. There are at least two more stories planned in this series as both of Brianna's sisters will be matched with Wizard Twins of their own.
