After the death of her parents and the disappearance and presumed death of her fiancée Victor, Jennifer struggles to raise her orphaned siblings and her daughter. Throughout it all, a mutual friend of her and her fiancée is there to lean on and help out where he can. Whenever she needs him, Jack steps in. She knows she can count on him.

What she doesn't know is just how much Jack cares for her. From the first moment he saw her when they were kids, he knew that she was the one for him. But when his best friend Victor asked her out, he stepped aside and watched as they fell in love and planned a life together. After Victor's plane goes down and the death of Jennifer's parents, Jack wants to tell her how he feels, but the time is never right.

Now, almost two years later, Jennifer's eyes are suddenly opened to the reality that Jack is a very vital and virile man. As they start to develop a relationship, old dreams return to haunt Jennifer's sleep. Jennifer is torn between loyalty to the ghost of her old love and a chance at happiness with Jack. How can she fall in love with someone new, when her dreams are filled with Victor? And what if Victor isn't really dead after all?

In NO TIME TO DREAM, the emotions of the characters, the choices they make and the struggle they go through is very vivid. Treva Harte has done a wonderful job of bringing to life the struggle of letting go of a tender childhood love and embracing a very adult passionate love.

It was a very satisfying read, although the ending did leave the reader hanging a bit. Fear not though, Treva has a sequel planned.

Summary
