"Domination and dark desires in a magickal world"

Librarian Serena Blackstone is a mundane in a magickal world. For the past several months, she's been cataloguing the ancient texts in Castle Strange. Serena has also been trying to get the attention of the reclusive castle alchemist, Invictus Cross. What Serena doesn't know is that Invictus has been betrayed by a woman before and vows to keep his distance.

Invictus Cross is surprised when he finds a wrapped gift on his desk. He is sure that the present is from his ex-lover, a witch who turned to the dark arts.

Serena wants to know if Invictus may be her one true love. But Invictus wants nothing to do with mundanes, who cannot defend themselves against magick. He has a taste for domination and other dark desires. Can Invictus scare Serena away by showing her his dark side? Or will Serena submit to his desires?

LUSTY CHARMS: INVICTUS is a short story, so there's not much room to really get to know the hero and heroine. This is the first story in a planned series, so hopefully we will see more of Serena and Invictus and the growth of their relationship.

Summary

Serena Blackstone, a non-magickal mundane, is the new librarian at Strange Castle. Irresistibly drawn to the dark and dangerous Dungeon Master, Invictus Cross, Serena sets out to seduce him.

Invictus Cross takes her up on her invitation with the intent of discouraging the sexy mundane. She shouldn't be at Strange Castle and she shouldn't be with him. His dark past is sure to come back to haunt him and he doesn't want Serena caught in the crossfire.
