"The latest in the Bad Girl's Club"
Julie Elizabeth Leto has to the one of the hottest and
brightest stars in series romance. She loves to push the
envelope and dance on the sword's edge, so it is not
surprising that she is one of Harlequin Temptation's
leading writers and the line benefits by having her. In
fact, the Temptation line seems created for her style of
shining talent. She is strong on creating vivid
characters, has a wicked sense of humor, and she is oh so
steamy; the characters not only create sparks off each
other, they shoot off fire-rockets. Leto is super at creating sizzling, sexual tension, but
there is little need for tension in her newest book. It's
all sizzle!! The latest in the Bad Girl's Club is another
walk on the wild side for Leto. Some will likely grump a
bit about how bad her Sydney is, but hey, get with
it...this is the BAD Girls Club! Sydney and Adam were lovers before, but both were too
career-minded, so they had little needs of solid, lasting
relationship. However, Adam soon discovered he wanted to
move beyond an affair toward marriage, but Sydney panicked
and ran. Only, life has come a-calling on Sydney "Slow Burn"
Colburn. All her girlfriends have gotten married
recently, so she is now the only bachelorette left in her
circle. Her newest book finally reaches number one on the
New York Bestsellers list, life is as she wants - and oh
so very hollow. She wants more! After a few days of soul-
searching and a little prodding from Cassie (the niece
from WHAT'S YOUR PLEASURE?), she figures out she needs
substance in her life, and when she thought of MORE it
brings to mind sexy Adam Brody, the man who wanted a life
with her. She was too busy, too vulnerable, to take the
risk a year ago, but now she thinks she has matured enough
to face him. A year ago, Sydney panicked, running from him. By the
time she came to her senses, and returned six weeks later
to tell him she agreed they had something special, she was
shocked to find Adam gone. His business was sold, his
condo sold and no one knew where to find him. But Sydney
was not about to let a little stumbling block like that
slow her down. She hires her friend, a private detective,
to track Adam down. She was not prepared for the Adam she finds. Adam is
no longer the brilliant architect; he is a construction
worker, building custom dollhouses for his sister's
business. Worse, he claims he does not remember Sydney.
Outside of a bruised ego, so she knows something is very
wrong. Sydney knows she is unforgettable, being the
badest of the bad girls. After her initial shock, she
quickly learns Adam was nearly killed. The night she ran
from him, he went out to jog to work off his anger because
Sydney left him and was hit from behind by a hit and & run
driver and nearly killed. It has taken him nearly the
whole year to reclaim his life, learn to walk and live
again. And in spite of this woman setting of a four-alarm
fire under his skin, he knows he has nothing to offer her
now. To Sydney, the word no is a challenge, so she is not going
to let a blank memory slow her down in getting her man.
And Sydney has something Adam wants: she holds key
information about Adam's accident. She agrees to help Adam
to find out what really happened that night knowing this
gives her time to break down his resistance. Julie once again, gives you a super read with characters
that leap off the pages. She is absolutely one of the
best at creating such intensely captivating characters,
that makes you care about them. She is fresh, original
and her love for romance writing is clearly evident in
every word!

SummarySydney Colburn is a card-carrying member of the Bad Girls
Club. When she wants something, she goes after it until its
hers. Too bad it took her over a year to realize that she
wanted sexy architect Adam Brody for more than a love-'em'-
and-leave-'em affair. So with a little help from her
friends, Sydney finds Adam and sets out to seduce him back
into her life. Unfortunately, Adam doesn't remember who she
is...
Adam Brody instantly reacts to sultry, sensual Sydney. He
doesn't remember their affair, but he's completely open to
Sydney's offer to remind him—touch by touch and kiss by
kiss—particularly since Sydney holds the key to sorting out
the mystery of the accident that stole his memory in the
first place. Besides, there's no man alive who can say no
to a bad girl...
