REVIEW

"Eloquently addresses the issues of older woman/younger man romance."

It all started with a dead battery.

Dr. Elizabeth Gilstrom, college Art History professor, is moving on with her life. She had only recently separated from her husband Stuart. Apparently he just couldn't give up the affair with his surgical nurse he'd previously sworn to end... "anything to save the marriage" he'd said. Right.

Of course, while plotting her new life Elizabeth certainly hadn't planned on Boone McCrea. Boone is one of her graduate students; one she couldn't help but notice during her lectures because he was simply one of the most beautiful men she'd ever seen. Boone McCrea made her think about things she hadn't thought it possible to think about again after her experience with Stuart.

An offer of jumper cables at the end of a long day begins Elizabeth's journey with Boone. Clearly they are attracted to each other but her betrayal by her husband, as well as the twelve year age difference between them, makes for some serious soul searching for Elizabeth. Fortunately for her and the reader, Boone's persistent.

I loved this story. The characters are beautifully developed and I found myself completely caught up in their dilemmas and cheering for their successes. Ms. Reed eloquently addresses the issues of an "older woman/younger man" romance as well as the student/teacher conflict; their romance will melt your heart and the sex is smoking hot. This is one that I highly recommend.

Summary

At thirty-six, university art professor Elizabeth Gilstrom finds herself facing a bleak, lonely future when her husband leaves her for his young medical assistant. After giving up her own career as an artist a decade before, Elizabeth has nothing to show for their ten-year marriage... only the faded memory of a paintbrush's weight in her hand, an empty bed, and an empty heart.

She's still reeling from shock and devastation when graduate student Boone McCrea walks into her office...and into her bed. Boone might only be twenty-four, but he is, quite simply, one of the most attractive men Elizabeth has ever seen, a work of art that stirs wild sensations she has long repressed.

Sexual Content: Hard R. Genre: contemporary.
