REVIEW

"Passionate twist"

LeAnne McVeigh was a detective in a small town police force. She was small but mighty, a smart woman very capable of solving crimes. LeAnne was engaged to the local prosecutor, Chad Baker. Chad was a handsome man, six feet tall and in great shape from working out. He offered LeAnne security, friendship and love, which he never failed to show. She considered herself a lucky girl.

Marcus Gallego was the husband of Jillian Gallego, the murder victim who had just been found at their home. Marcus and Jillian had been married for a year and Jillian had been unfaithful for the last six months, maybe more, but the friends of Marcus would not tell him just how long and with whom she had been having sex. Marcus, or Snake as his friends called him, loved Jillian in spite of her misdeeds. He was a big, strong man who loved her deeply and he was hurt by all the problems that were happening to him now.

LeAnne questioned Marcus about his whereabouts at the time of the murder and had him put in jail for a couple of days, thinking since he had motive and opportunity, he was the guilty party. She was taken with this man, he was too darn good looking and feelings grew inside her that were going to interfere with her engagement to Chad. During Marcus's incarceration, another murder occurred that had the same M.O. and cast doubt in LeAnne's mind that maybe Marcus really did not commit these murders.

More murders occur and other suspects are brought to light until finally the answer is found and the true murderer is caught. The plot leads the detectives to other towns not too far away and even back a few years to an earlier murder that was never solved.

The author keeps the reader guessing all the way through this novel right to the very end and I mean the very last line. The book has a strong flow that pulls the plot together beautifully but not with giving away the ending. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope I will have the privilege of reading more of this author's work.

Summary

Another tale of madness, murder, and passion from the newest queen of suspense. Marcus "Snake" Gallego lives in the fast lane. Play hard, ride fast, die young. But nothing seems to touch him, not until his faithless wife turns up dead, and a pretty little detective slams his head against a bar, cuffing his hands behind his back. LeAnne McVeigh has a murderer to catch and "Snake" is a prime suspect according to her fiancé, the County prosecutor. She fights her growing attraction to the biker, but the pull is too strong to ignore and more than that, he proves to be her friend in adversity.
