"Sizzling story of genetically enhanced humans"

Journalist Merinus Tyler wants in on a big, big story and she won't let her overprotective father or seven older brothers stand in her way. She feels compelled to meet the man who was genetically engineered with lion DNA.

Callan Lyons just wants to be left alone. Mercenaries having been hunting him for years, trying to recapture him for the Genetics Council for more experimentation. Responsible for protecting the "pride" of his brothers and sisters, Merinus is a dangerous temptation for him, but one he can't ignore. A stolen kiss creates unbearable desire for both of them. "Mating frenzy" ensues, with very erotic results.

Merinus and Callan seem to be made for each other. Merinus's years with her overprotective family allow her to hold her own with this dominant male. Callan would overwhelm a less independent heroine. There are several laugh-out-loud moments as Callan butts heads with stubborn Merinus. Together they create a sizzling heat that is palpable. Once they are mated, is there any chance of a real future for this couple?

TEMPTING THE BEAST is loosely connected to Ms. Leigh's Wolf Breed series (WOLFE'S HOPE and JACOB'S FAITH). Ms. Leigh has plans for more Feline Breed stories, with the next story featuring Merinus's brother Kane and Callan's sister Sherra, a snow cat-human hybrid. Personally, I can't wait to see what Ms. Leigh will write next.

Summary

Callan Lyons is a genetic experiment. One of six fighting for freedom and the survival of their Pride. Merinus Tyler is the reporter who will tempt him, draw him, until the fury of the "mating frenzy" locks them into a battle of sexual heat there is no escape from.
