"Loving and giving tone, but not for the faint of heart."
One exciting night six years ago, Sarah ran from Brock
August because of rumours about his brothers. Now, after a
bitter divorce from Mark, Sarah decides that she wants a
one-night stand with Brock, but nothing else. Brock has
been waiting for her to approach him and quickly takes her
up on her offer, but he wants more than one night with his
Sarah-love. He won't lie to her that he and his brothers
need more from her than she might be willing to give.
Sarah struggles with her attraction to Brock and
understanding the August men. This is the second novel in a series about the August males
from Lora Leigh. I did struggle with the balance between
seduction and coercion with both novels; as an example, in
a couple of sex scenes the word "no" is ignored or
explained away as fear. I'm also not sure if the premise
is that Sarah needs to expand her sexual horizons or if the
August brothers need therapy. But the writing is so well
done that there is a loving and giving tone that makes
even acts I'm uncomfortable with seem acceptable for these
characters. I'm also a sucker for alpha males, but only
in my fantasies, so the novel really works on that level. I
would recommend this novel, but it is not for the faint of
heart. Sensuality Rating: Sex toys and play, anal sex, group sex. Reviewed by Karen Williston for Sensual Romance.
