REVIEW

"Dream killer is a nightmare"

Troubled by a dream killer since childhood, Alex volunteers to become a part of her boss's experiment. While everyone involved understood the basics, no one had a clue that it was possible for her dream stalker to be released into the "real world". Due to a machine failure, exactly that happens.

Now her dream killer is determined to make her dreams come true. Knowing that she has to be the one to face him and defeat him, Alex sets out to do just that. But her ex-lover and ex-coworker, Dr. Jason Conner, is just as determine that Alex will play no part in the dream stalker's capture. He wants to not only save his damsel in distress, but to prove to Alex that they do belong together.

Alex is just as determined that she doesn't need Jason. Not as a lover, and not as a protector. Although they both dream of a time when they were happy together, Alex must first find and defeat her old nightmare.

DREAM STALKER has an interesting premise to it and a lot of possibilities with the characters. Unfortunately, the storyline falls flat of where it could have gone. The tension between the lead characters never really has a chance to build, it is there and then it erupts, leaving the reader wondering "what if".

I think it could have been a better story if we had a better chance to know the characters. We come in at the climax of their tale, dropped into the middle of something that we never are really allowed to see and feel.

Elise Adams has a lot of potential, and I would love to see this story fleshed out, but as it stands right now, I was rather disappointed.

Rated: NC-17.
