"Vampires in the movies!"
Amara Daniels went from the top of the world to the bottom
in the time it takes to brew a cup of coffee. It wasn't
bad enough that with each movie her clothes got skimpier.
Playing Midnight Morris, the bubble headed blonde vampire,
in the movies wasn't as popular as it once was. It seems
that the powers that be had marketed her from action
figures to lunch boxes and still that wasn't good enough.
Now they wanted her to take her clothes off and get
horizontal. An "R" rating wasn't good enough, it now had
to
be porn. Well, she wasn't taking this lying down. Amara had two choices. She could do what they wanted
and have sex on screen, or she could quit. To Amara there
was really only one choice. As if this wasn't bad enough,
the sleazy director hands her a tape of
her on-screen love interest and fiancée's extracurricular
activities. Tired and discouraged, Amara goes home, puts
the tape in the machine and sits back to watch, a bit
awestruck at what she is seeing. Movement upstairs draws
Amara to her bedroom door. Her fiancée, Derek, is not
waiting for her in bed but is in bed with his co-star of
the video, along with the next door caterer Steve. Well,
this is just too much for one person to take in one day.
It's a wonder she doesn't lose it. Needless to say, Derek
is history. It looks like her career is also. Two weeks
later Amara is still looking for a job that doesn't
require
her to take her clothes off. Marco has read in the paper that Amara Daniels is dead,
but
that can't be true because he remembers seeing her a few
days ago. Finding her at the local café, he follows her
home. For some reason Amara's trouble antenna goes on high
alert. Well, it could be because he's a couple of inches
over six feet, or maybe because he's built like a football
player, but whatever it is he is scaring her. Marco
kidnaps Amara in order to teach her the way a true vampire
is. Is Marco a vampire or just a crazed lunatic? Amara finds herself drawn to Marco, but can she forgive
him? The feelings she has for him are so right. MIDNIGHT
will draw you into the story and keep you there. You find
yourself rooting for Amara to take a chance on Marco.
Romance is not dead, it is very much alive and living in
MIDNIGHT. I hope we see Marco's friend Royce in the
future. As you finish reading MIDNIGHT you find yourself
hoping that Royce will get his own 'other half' in the
future. And how about Marco's friend Ellie, whom he
thinks
of as a little sister. Will she ever see a happily ever
after? Ms Elisa Adams is very talented. MIDNIGHT is her
third story for Ellora's Cave. Expect wonderful things
from
this author. Rating: NC-17. Sensuality: Graphic language, rough sex,
oral sex. Sensuality NOT with the Hero or Heroine:
homosexual activity, ménage a trois.
