"Vampire Romance at a New Level"
Marriage in Moonlust by Kate Hill Historical. When the acting vampire ruler, Kornel Debray,
demands a human sacrifice from the village, Leona is
poisoned by her family and carried away. His returning
brother, Narcisse Debray, rescues her from Kornel's
horrible attention. Narcisse is very dismayed to learn of
his brother's behaviour in his absence. Even though she is
dying, Leona fights Narcisse when he wants to use his blood
to save her life. With seductive persuasion, he skillfully
draws Leona under his spell and prevents her demise. Their
mutual attraction causes jealousy from Kornel. He wants
what he wants. Strange to say, this is a touching story of love between
two interesting characters. The graphic erotic scenes are
woven into the story line with ease, making them believable
and very sensuous. Readers of vampire romance will love
this sizzling tale. Icarus by Sherri L. King Contemporary. Morrigan Mederos flees her stressful life
in New York City and travels to a small Scottish village
to find some peace and happiness from her terrifying
dreams. Buying a house sight unseen, she is drawn to it
for unexplainable reasons. As her dreams become more
frequent and more intense, she begins to have them even
during the daylight hours. She awakens one morning with
fang marks. Azure, her dream man, has large gossamer wings,
dwells under water, and is from the world of Icaria. He
wants desperately to appease her fears and keep her with
him. Just how can he accomplish his goal? Icarus is an intriguing story. An alien from another
world, who drinks blood was an enticing being. I enjoyed
the way the writer moved the characters through this very
different story. You are drawn into the relationship that
seems unlikely but becomes believable at the tale's
conclusion. These narratives are well written and I found them
worthwhile reading. Both authors give a distinct slant on
the vampire romance genre. Rated Hard R by the publisher.
