"A new take on the Vampire/Werewolf/Paranormal story"
Tall, Dark, and Deadly - Margaret L. Carter Claude Darvell is a horror movie star as well as a
vampire. His philosophy is to hide in plain site. One
night while giving his rendition of Poe's "The Sleeper",
he saw her. She watched him from the audience with
intensity that was hard to miss. Eloise Kern has just had her adaptation of a novel for a
movie accepted. She decides to go to the reading to meet
Claude and talk to him about the movie. From the first
moment she sees him, she is irresistibly attracted to him.
Losing her nerve, she decides not to meet him after the
reading and to wait until the next night when he's
supposed to share a table with her at an awards ceremony. At the award ceremony, the evening gets late and Eloise
starts to think that Claude won't be showing up. She's
arranged it so that he'll be sitting next to her. One
minute he's not there and the next he's standing next to
her chair. Once he arrives Eloise can't concentrate on
anything but him. She decides to leave with him and go
back to his hotel room. As Eloise and Claude get closer, an
old enemy of his enters his life again and places both of
them in danger. Statuesque - Lani Aames Lia Morgan has been half in love with Mac Taylor since she
first saw him in college. Unfortunately, all he seems to
feel for her is friendship. Now she's thirty and she's
spending her vacation following Mac in search of a statue
of Zamar and proof of the elusive Zamarians. Mac has
found a cave that he thinks contains the mysterious statue
but just as Lia is about to follow him she starts to have
a dizzy spell. She has a vision that tells her she's been
here before. Once inside the cave, Mac disappears and Lia tries to stay
calm so that she can find him. As she goes farther into
the cave, she finds a large chamber that contains a statue
if the most beautiful man she's ever seen. Could this be
the statue of Zamar and where did Mac disappear to? Monster Love - MaryJanice Davidson Richard Will thought that becoming a vampire was the best
thing that ever happened to him. He doesn't understand
why all of the literature shows vampires as miserable
creatures. His life on the farm was boring and he felt
freed to not have to spend his life working for his
father. After 60 years as a vampire he still feels the
same way, except he is getting a bit lonely. Janet Lupo was wondering if her fellow werewolves married
werewolves anymore. The last two pack leaders had married
humans. Not that she didn't like humans, she just didn't
understand why werewolves would want to marry anyone that
much slower than themselves. One night while walking home from dinner she caught a
scent that grabbed her attention. Richard stepped out of
the shadows thinking to make a meal of her, but she was not
what he was expecting. With one swipe she shoved him
against a wall. Since he became a vampire he's always
been the strongest one around. Now he's found someone
who's his equal but completely different. Can total
opposites actually make a relationship work? I really enjoyed reading these stories. They each had their
own new take on the vampire/werewolf/paranormal genre. The
characters came across as intelligent people with depth.
The attraction between the two main characters was strong
and the secondary characters just added to the story. Sexual Content: Hard R.
