"Warning: May cause your screen to melt"
Lois Commoner had reached the end of her rope. Everything
that had any meaning in her life was gone. Her mother
had died a while back. An on-the-job disability took her
job away from her, and she wasn't the type of person to
make many friends. While she felt that it was something only a coward would
do, she made the decision to end her own life. Taking her
medications all at once, she drifted off to sleep ... ... and woke up to a giant puma licking her face? Somehow, she had been transported to an alternate reality
where the men changed into beasts at will and the sky was
lavender. Convinced at first that she was dreaming or dead, Lois
enjoyed the sensation of being able to move about without
pain. Then reality kicked in -- she was in a strange place,
with no idea where she was, no place to stay, and no way to
support herself. But her puma friend Prince Damon had other
ideas. First on the list was to take Lois to his home and
get her settled in. Then, somehow, convince her to stay. Lois is the kind of woman MaryJanice Davidson is becoming
known for: a kick ass, take-charge heroine who isn't afraid
to get a little dirty. Lois is a very determined woman
who finds herself in a situation she has no control over,
and she makes the best of it. CANIS ROYAL is a quick (60 page) read with snappy dialog,
quirky secondary characters, an enjoyable feel to it, and
let's not forget the sex. Damon and Lois fairly melt the
monitor when they are together. Rated Hard R.
