REVIEW

"Tall, dark, and sinfully gorgeous"

Dageus MacKeltar made a grave mistake when he refused to accept his twin brother's death. Now he's forced to live with a 4,000-year-old curse hanging over his head. Rather than accept his fate, he's decided to fight this curse, but he needs information from ancient texts. Some of these texts were in private collections but thanks to some of his special talents he had no problem "borrowing" them.

Chloe Zanders loves all things Scottish, especially old antiquities from Scotland. It's a good thing that she works at the Cloisters, where they house antiquities. One rainy day, her boss sends her to deliver a rare book to a mysterious benefactor. When she arrives at his Manhattan penthouse she finds the door unlocked. Her curiosity gets the best of her and she lets herself in. Hanging over the fireplace mantle she sees what looks to be an ancient Claymore but it looks too new to be the real thing. As she looks around she sees more treasures. She goes upstairs and finds a huge bed; There seems to be something hidden under the bed. Her curiosity gets the better of her again, so she crawls under the bed and finds discarded women's thongs and empty Magnum-sized condom wrappers. Disgusted with what obviously is a womanizer, she also finds several ancient texts that were stolen recently. As she crawls out from under the bed she feels someone grab her ankle.

Dageus just missed meeting Chloe at the Cloisters and was told she had gone to his place to give him the book he requested. Upon arriving home, he finds his front door ajar and a shapely pair of legs coming from under his bed. As he pulls Chloe out, he sees that she's found his stash of "borrowed" books and he can't let her go just yet.

I just loved this book! Dageus was a perfect alpha hero. He's tall, dark, and sinfully gorgeous with a Scottish accent. The time-travel part of the book was handled well and believably. The relationship between the two main characters started out hot and didn't let up through the whole book. I highly recommend this book to even those who don't like time-travel novels.
