"A game of 'fantasy come true'"
In modern day New York, Regina "Reggie" McNeill has just
fallen prey to the fantasy fix. Her twice-weekly girl's
night companions decide that Reggie's hermit lifestyle
since her nightmarish breakup with her former fiancé, not
so fondly known as Groping Gregory, is over. The fantasy
fix, a game of the women matching men to fulfill the
fantasies of the others, has gone two round without Reggie.
So, two fantasies are due her before the game moves on,
whether she wants to collect or not. In a desperate attempt
to derail her friends, she puts four impossible wishes into
the hat and one real fantasy. While Bigfoot, aliens, and
Elvis get off scott-free, her friends are charged with
finding a vampire willing to tie Reggie up and dominate
her. Lucky for them, there is a monthly Goth Vampire ball
coming up. Dimitri "Misha" Vidame is a seven-hundred-sixty-year-old
vampire keeping an eye on the Goth ball along with his best
friend, a werewolf named Graham. With none of the young
upstart vampires risking exposure of their kind in sight,
Misha is about to leave when he spots Regina. She is
nothing like the women he usually pursues, and everything
his mind and body scream for in a mate. He knows her
darkest desires and her most hidden fantasies. No other man
may touch her, and looking at her may be hazardous to your
health. He will convince the headstrong young human that he
is the only man for her if it takes every fantasy she
harbors to do the job. I truly enjoyed FANTASY FIX, and I really hope we get to
see more of its kind dealing with the secondary characters.
While I didn't get a great feel for some of Reggie's
friends, Ava and Missy were very well drawn. On the other
hand, I took an immediate and intense liking to both Graham
and Rafe, a werecat. The storyline was enjoyable. Ms.
Warren got me laughing in the first few pages and kept it
rolling through the book. Misha is darkly sensual and just
the smug sort of man who needs to meet his match -- and
does. Reggie's final acceptance of Misha came a little too
quickly for the story up to that time, but it was sweet
none-the-less. I would definitely recommend this book to
anyone who likes a good laugh and some hot encounters. While many of the sexual encounters seemed to blend one
into another making a true count impossible for me, I took
breaks that seemed appropriate to me and still came up with
a whopping twelve encounters in the 139 pages of text. The
sex was varied and very hot. There were light bondage, sex
toys, stripping and hand jobs, public sex, spanking,
masturbation, and oral sex. Within the secondary
characters, there was also a girl on girl scene, voyeurism,
and a menage scene with one rather talented werewolf and
two nymphette vampires. SPOILER: I did have one complaint about this book. In his bid to
overwhelm Reggie, Dimitri drives her to tears during one
encounter, leaving her angry and frightened. This was not
to my tastes, but I was able to move on from it after a bit
of time had passed in the story.

she thinks could never come true. After all, vampires don't
