REVIEW

"A Spicy Hot Duo"

LOVE MAGIC is an anthology containing two novella- length romantica stories by Ann Jacobs.

ILLUSIONS

Drake Conover is a sexy, handsome, and very popular magician. Erienne Duval is the CIA agent assigned to investigate him. The government suspects that Conover, or one of the people who assists him with his national and international shows, is guilty of delivering information to foreign nations. Erienne is told to do whatever is necessary to find out who the traitor is, even if it means breaking Conover's heart -- and her own.

ILLUSIONS starts off at a boil and never slows. Drake and Erienne are sexually explosive together, but they are also good for each other as people. The secrets that keep them apart -- and the danger that threatens both their lives -- push the book along at a rollicking pace but never overshadow the graphic sexual scenes that fill the novella. Hot, hot, hot, ILLUSIONS gives the reader a taste of everything -- romance, suspense, mind-melting sex, and an emotionally satisfying ending that will leave anyone sighing in contentment.

COMMITMENT

Gaelen Reston and Brent d'Angelo have been having an affair for five years -- and though their encounters just get hotter and hotter, Gaelen still resists making any commitment to her lover. Brent, a homegrown family man, has finally decided to do something about it -- he challenges her to spend two weeks in his company. In his apartment. His goal is to get her to marry him, but can Gaelen overcome the painful memories of her past to make a real commitment?

There is an advantage, in a novella-length story, to starting with a couple in an already established relationship. There is no need to bother with maidenly virtue, sudden attractions, or love at first sight. By the time COMMITMENT starts, Gaelen and Brent are already strongly attached to each other. Their sexual relationship has developed to the point where they are truly comfortable with each other and themselves, leaving the author room to explore the natural sensual enjoyment that the characters take in each other. Ms Jacobs uses this opportunity to explore real, deep-seated fears that many women feel, breathing life into the story. That isn't to say that COMMITMENT isn't hot. To the contrary, the dedication that Brent feels toward his goal, and the love that the characters share make the sexual scenes all the hotter.

Sensuality Level: Rated NC17 by the publisher.
