"Humor, suspense, fantastic characters, great story!"

To save her land and her people, Wolfen Dark is determined to make the Vampesi Lucavarious honor his contract, the contract that will have him mating with her. Lucavarious has no true plans to deny the contract, and once he meets Dark he is even eager to fulfill it. However, it is possible that with this beautiful Wolfen he may have bitten off more than he can chew. For Dark turns out not to be timid the way Luca believed a virgin should be. Dark and Luca's personal problems soon take a back seat, though, to the danger that still stalks Dark. It appears that those who murdered her parents are determined to do away with Dark, also.

Excellent laugh-out-loud humor makes what could easily have been a dark and depressing read remarkably entertaining and satisfying. Ms. Burke has taken two familiar fictional monster-types and has created two new and fascinating species. Then she places them on an alternate future Earth, making the surroundings eminently familiar. The hero is just so fantastic, words elude me. I really loved this guy. The heroine is just exactly perfect for him. The secondary characters make you eager to read their stories, especially Omnubius'. The sex scenes are rather sparse, but are wonderfully executed. For me, that made them that much more enjoyable. If you like paranormal romance with hot sex, suspense, and a lot of humor, you definitely won't want to miss this one.
