"Fast-paced Page Turner"
Cherry Adair's KISS AND TELL is a very fast paced
book, one that keeps you turning the pages. Marni Wright
is
a feisty heroine and the perfect match for the hero Jake
Dolan. Marni has retreated to her grandmother's old cabin
to reflect on the direction of her life, not realizing
that
she's now trespassing on Jake's private property. Jake is
there hiding out in his high-tech underground lair. The
two
clash from the start, and the sexual tension between them
grows constantly throughout the rest of the book. Jake is
being hunted and now has to protect Marni from the bad
guys
also. Cherry has added a "secondary character" in the form of
Marni's dog Duchess who manages to share in the constant
action, and you can't help but love her. Telling the
ending
would give away too much, but suffice to say it is the
kind
of ending that you get to and are disappointed that the
story doesn't continue on. Cherry's has also introduced
Marni's over-protective brothers and you are immediately
sensing that each one has a story to tell. I am hoping
each will have his own book... soon! Kari Thomas / December 2000
