"When his mentor is killed, Lucas finds himself immersed in the paranormal"
Police officer Lucas Donnigan just wants to have a normal
life. For the past fifteen years, he's managed to pretend
that he doesn't have paranormal skills that could cause harm
as easily as do good. When his former mentor Max Solaris is
murdered, Lucas is determined to find the murderer. Max was
immortal; it should have been impossible to kill him.
Something magical is behind this; Lucas will root it out,
and then get on with his life. First, though, he has to meet
with the woman Max had urged him to see. Amy Vaness is Max's niece, and psychic to boot. Lucas
manages to rub her the wrong way from their first
encounter. Too bad he's so utterly delectable; it's hard to
hate the man who fuels your sexiest dreams. When the sex
between them goes supernova, Amy knows what that means. She
vows to fight the attraction raging between them. Lucas is
not her fate, no matter what he does to her
sexually. Amy has been hurt in the past; she doesn't need
another arrogant male putting her down. Evil stalks Lucas first, and then goes after Amy. It's hard
to tell the good guys from the bad in this complex tale.
Don't believe everything you see as 100% truth. Someone is
using others as his pawns to inflict the havoc and pure evil
on the populace. Amy has visions of the acts of torture, but
she can't be sure that they are reality. She'll have to
decide for herself if she dares to face her worst fears to
stop the vicious acts and murders. Without Lucas, Amy
doesn't have a chance. Can these two work together to stop a
killer? Don't expect to find the answers to Solaris' death in SONS
OF SOLARIS 1: ARIES. I imagine we will go through several
more stories of the Sons before we learn who is behind the
murder. It will be interesting to see which son is featured
next, although I have my suspicions. With more questions
than answers, I'm eagerly anticipating the second book in
Ms. Copeland's exciting paranormal series. Sensuality: Rated E-rotic by the publisher. Explicit sex,
public sex, rape (not by hero), anal sex, bondage and
torture (not by hero); sexually explicit scenes: 16

SummaryLucas Donnigan has denied his supernatural powers and the
emotional scars of his past for years. He values his now
normal life, normal job and the occasional normal woman
above all else.
Amy Vaness, psychic and the niece of Lucas' one-time
mentor, loathes arrogant men who take pleasure in preying
on those they believe to be weaker.
The murder of Amy's uncle and the predicted death of many
others bring the two together, and it soon becomes clear
that Fate wants them even closer.
Lucas is willing to work with Amy for the sake of saving
lives. What he isn't willing to do is welcome the far from
normal beauty into his bed or his mind. Amy believes Lucas
to be the arrogant type of man she makes it a point to
avoid and is just as determined to keep her distance.
But as clues to the killer unravel, tension and trust grow.
Tempting Fate is no longer a matter of question but time.
