"Have you ever had a relationship that left you wondering "what if"?"

It's been a year since Mira broke off the affair with Gavin. He's the only man who could turn her on with a look, a touch, and she hasn't been able to stop thinking about him. That could be the reason why she's speeding down this dark back road. She sees the red and blue lights in her rearview mirror and pulls over, but demands to see his ID before she pulls out her registration and license. He tells her to get out of the car. She stumbles on her new high heels and he performs sobriety tests on her, which she passes. She smarts off to him and he pushes her against her vehicle and pats her down. He tells her to drive slower and leaves.

That was particularly unsatisfying. His touch enflamed her and she craves release. She knows it won't be a totally satisfying release either. As she's in the shower, she hears someone at the door. It's him! Will Mira allow Gavin back in her life? Will Gavin allow Mira close to him?

I love Megan Hart's work, and this one doesn't disappoint. Even though this is a short story, I was drawn into the complex relationship between Mira and Gavin as we see why their relationship didn't work the first time around and explore the possibilities of a second chance. This is definitely one of those stories you don't want to read while you're alone. You will need a partner readily available! This story is so hot, the words sizzle. If you've ever had a relationship you've broken off and wondered "what if", you don't want to miss this one.
