"The darker side of the human soul"
Yzabeau de Cambion's older brother is not doing a very
good
job as head of the family. He's been gambling and losing
money. With her younger sister ill, Yzabeau decides to go
out after dark for the herbs. Unfortunately, she gets
trapped in an alley by the man her brother owes money to.
Just when she knows she's going to get raped, a man comes
to her rescue. Somehow, his name pops into her head, Jorg.
After Jorg kills all three men, Yzabeau feels compelled to
go with him. Jorg knows that Yzabeau is his mate's latest
reincarnation.
Every reincarnation Regana went through, Jorg always ended
up losing her. Jorg bonded with Regana and tracks her with
every reincarnation. However, since he became the Beast,
Veriel, the Gods have punished him and his punishment is
to
continue to lose Regana. Will he be able to keep her this
time, or will he lose her again? This is definitely not a "feel good" light kind of read.
This story is filled with tortured souls, lost love, and
the inhumanity of man. It explores the darker part of
life, from torture, bought women, and the struggle for
power, we gain an insight of how a favored warrior can
become a beast. I really enjoyed the look into the society
of Warriors and Beasts and how they are intermingled. The
sex scenes in this story are all very hot. The story is
very well written and thought out. I really loved the
German sprinkled throughout it as well. For all you lovers
of the darker side of the human soul, this story is one I
recommend putting on your TBR list.

SummaryJörg failed in his attempts with Caitrina, but the gods
aren't finished punishing the traitor, Veriel. Jörg finds
Regana's seventh soul, in peril as always. Determined to
teach her to turn from danger, Jörg's lessons awake a
firestorm of need in Yzabeau.
She knows him. Her body remembers Jörg's touch, and Yzabeau
will do anything to he asks to experience what she
remembers. In the night, she is his, born to revel in every
carnal sin. Then comes the day. With the sun, sanity
returns.
