"Wonderfully written short story of love with a vampire"
Centuries ago, Dake's wife was murdered. His mother-in-law
was angry and turned all the men into blood drinkers to
continue the line. Over time, the men forgot the old
ceremonies and old ways and have become pleasure seekers. Charron wishes for death so badly. She is suffering with
survivor's guilt. Her twin was killed and Charron is
having trouble dealing with it. She races outside in the
rain to the grave and is crying there. Dake just killed a pickpocket, but he's still not
satisfied. He also wants sex and more blood. He knew he
should have eaten sooner. He hears Charron crying and goes
to her. The bloodlust hits him hard. Charron begs him for
death. Dake tells her sex with him will grant her wish.
Dake senses something different about Charron, for one
thing, she can build mental shields so Dake can't read
her. Will Charron be Dake's salvation, or will he kill her? This is a wonderfully written short story of love and a
totally new view of vampires. For the first time since her
twin's sister, Charron is finally feeling something. After
meeting Dake, she decides she doesn't want to die. For the
first time, Dake has no desire to kill during sex. He
haunts Charron's dreams. If you like a good vampire
erotica, don't miss this one.
