"Three sets of lovers find passion in nature's fury"

Lawyers in Love: Eye of the Storm by Ann Jacobs

Five years ago, Sam and Marcy Kramer divorced amid angry accusations and suspicions. Accused of cheating on Sam, Marcy has sought revenge by having fling after fling. None of her affairs give her the satisfaction she had in Sam's arms, however. When they meet again at a mutual friend's wedding, the passion between them simmers as hot as ever. The hurricane bearing down on the island has nothing on the stormy feelings between Sam and Marcy.

Fertility specialist Sam Kramer has never gotten over the love of his life, Marcy. When Marcy became pregnant, Sam had been sure the baby wasn't his -- he had tested himself and was practically sterile. Only a miracle could have had enabled him to impregnate Marcy without medical intervention. After Marcy miscarries, Sam learns how wrong he is, but it is too late. When Sam finds out that Marcy was left behind on the island, he rushes to her rescue.

Stranded on the island, with a hurricane howling, Sam and Marcy find comfort in each other's arms. When the storm is over, do they have a chance at regaining the life they once led? Will Marcy be able to forgive Sam's accusations from so long ago? Will Sam be able to get past the multitude of lovers that Marcy has had in the last five years?

Ms. Jacobs has written another reunion tale in her Lawyers in Love series. Sam and Marcy have a lot of baggage to sort through, but they do so to enable another chance at love. Eye of the Storm is a tumultuous ride, but love will prevail in the end. Another great tale from the talented Ms. Jacobs.

Savage Storm by Vonna Harper

At the approach of a raging hurricane, the slave Alika, called Maddie by her Master, throws herself into the raging waters. Death is far better than more of the abuse she's suffered for years. Yet her self-preservation instinct hasn't been stifled. When Alika sees a deserted island, she tries to make it to shore. When her strength runs out, she knows this time she's going to die. But she doesn't.

Seminole warrior Yahola is on Soul Island to commune with his spirit, Panther. When he spots the struggling woman in the surf, he taps into his inner strength to save her. Yahola finds himself intensely attracted to this light-skinned woman who has been through so much. But a warrior does not rape; he must earn her trust.

Alika has never experienced pleasure in the sex act, but Yahola brings out feelings in her that she's never felt before. Does she dare trust this savage? Can she reclaim her body and find pleasure in the joys of the flesh? Over several days, Yahola shows her tenderness such as Alika's never seen. But Alika knows that their happiness is short- lived. Her Master will never give up the search for her, until her body is found. What will she do?

Readers should be aware that there are numerous descriptions of the abuse and rapes that Alika had suffered at the hands of Master. Savage Storm is the story of a woman's awakening to her natural sensuality. Ms. Harper has written a gritty yet ultimately uplifting tale set in the South during the time of slavery.

Sensuality: Rated E-rotic by the publisher. Explicit sex; sexually explicit scenes: 7.

Time Storm by Samantha Winston

Heather is devastated when the object of her desire, Ian, the older boy-next-door, is declared dead after disappearing in a storm and presumed drowned. Now, ten years later, she intends to retrace his route and finally say goodbye. Heather can't believe it when she is overtaken by a sudden, very unusual storm. She is washed off the rental sailboat and finds herself adrift. When she's rescued by what she thinks is a tourist tour, complete with old-fashioned Spanish galleon, she's relieved until she sees the captain of the pirate ship. It's Ian. How?

Ian FitzConner doesn't know what the lass is talking about when she refers to gadgets of which he's never heard. He's captain of this rag-tag band of pirates in 1770. So why does she seem so familiar to him? Could Heather be speaking the truth? If she is, Ian must not let his men know. Pirates are a superstitious sort, and would denounce her as a witch and put her to death.

Heather and Ian enjoy sensual pleasures together, but unrest on the pirate ship may mean their demise. Will Heather and Ian be able to return to the future? Is it even possible? And what does one of the sailors know about their trips through time?

Time Storm is a tale of love lost and found. Ian and Heather make a well-matched couple, both strong of will and brave. Although I have a few questions at the end, overall Ms. Winston's story is an enjoyable one. Give this reunion story a try.

Sensuality: Rated E-rotic by the publisher. Explicit sex, spanking, anal sex; sexually explicit scenes: 8.
