REVIEW

"Rebecca was the only Moving Violations that Jackson wanted"

Rebecca Taylor has had to go back to her hometown for her aunt's funeral. Being back in Jericho, Tennessee, has brought back old memories of the love of her life. Even if it had been all one-sided, all hers. Jackson Montgomery was the man she had always loved, but as he was years older, he only saw her as his "Pixie Pest". When he shows up at her aunt's house after the funeral all those emotions come doing back. Maybe it wasn't too late to do something about the crush she had all these years ago. No man had ever measured up to Jackson.

Jackson Montgomery had come back to Jericho after the Marines to become the sheriff, after his father the former sheriff died. Jackson didn't believe it had been accident. When there were several more accidental deaths, he starts to investigate. Making a lot of enemies, including the mayor, along the way. He is determined to find out what is going on in his hometown. Someone is hiding something. The only distraction he has is that his "Pixie" is back. This time she is all grown up.

It doesn't take long for Rebecca and Jackson to be locked in each others' arms. But when she reports to Jackson the next day as one his new deputies, she doesn't know who is the most surprised -- her or him. Can they work together? Where will that leave any romance between the two of them?

Ms. Leigh and Ms. Chadwick were able to create an atmosphere of suspense as well as a highly erotic novel. Their ability to combine their writing was excellent. This novel had me from the first page. I even enjoyed the secondary characters. They were able to capture the red- neck south to perfection. The way the other deputies treated Rebecca is true to form. The events of 9/11 made this story timely with its action. I hope Ms. Leigh and Ms. Chadwick are working on another novel.
