REVIEW

"A comedy of errors!"

I've been a long time fan of Nancy Warren's since I reviewed her very first book for her. I'm happy to say she never disappoints and her books are always one sitting reads for me!

Jane Stanford lost her job because of a lousy skuzzy co-worker who harassed her. She hauled off and gave him a black eye but because nobody saw him harass her but she had lots of witness when she beaned him, she's the one who was axed. So Jane decided before she starts job hunting she'll conveniently become "married", so to speak.

Alicia, Jane's best friend, thinks she's making a big mistake but nothing she says gets through to Jane. Jane thinks because Alicia is happily married that she just doesn't understand what it's like. Jane will show Alicia that she's right.

Jane decides to go with her ex-employer's competition when it comes to another job. What she doesn't count on is her new hunk of a boss, Spencer Tate. Spencer is attracted to Jane as well but when he sees she is married, he knows there's no way he'll horn in. It's just not his way. He figures if he meets Jane's husband that will cool his ardor for her.

How long will Jane stay 'married' now? What is she going to do about her attraction to Spencer? There's no way she's going to sleep her way to the top with her boss no matter what. So what's a girl to do?

One of my favorite scenes in this book is when Spencer pins Jane down about her husband and knowing she has to produce one, she talks Alicia into letting her borrow her husband Chuck. The scene where Jane and Chuck meet Spencer is just simply hilarious.

This book was a joy to read. As always I eagerly look forward to each and every one of Nancy Warren's books.

Summary

All work and no play?
After being fired from her last job because a creepy co-worker hit on her and she hit back, Jane Stanford has decided enough is enough. To keep men at bay, she dons a fake wedding band in the hopes of being judged on her brains and not her beauty. Then Jane meets her new boss and she's not sure her foolproof plan was so smart after all. Spencer Tate's a hot one, and suddenly she's more than ready to shed the wedding ring...and her clothes!

Spencer's not surprised to hear what happened to Jane at her last job. She's a gorgeous woman, and he's more than a little tempted himself. Fortunately, that wedding ring she wears reminds him every day--and night--that she's off-limits. But when he learns the truth about Jane's marriage, Spencer decides it's time to bring some pleasure to their working relationship.
