BEWITCHED, book 2 of Cheyenne McCray's Seraphine Chronicles, brings us the story of Ranelle and Seraphine Elven Prince Jalen. Along with her halias (heart-sisters) Liana and Tierra, Ranelle's future is not exactly bright. After being raised practically as captives of the evil sorcerer Zanden since early childhood, the unexpected death of their human keeper leaves Ranelle and her halias free, but that freedom is short-lived.

Jalen's mission is to protect Ranelle and keep her away from Zanden's hands. Soon enough Jalen finds himself literally running to save Ranelle from their hated enemy, who somehow managed to capture her. Jalen knows that his destiny is Ranelle, and there is much more at stake than her life.

Once again Cheyenne McCray brings us a sensuous and erotic fantasy tale. As wonderful as the first book of this three- part arc is, I believe BEWITCHED surpasses the first one. Ranelle is a smart, selfless heroine. Jalen is obedient of the Seraphine Council directives, but he is first and foremost Ranelle's mate. If, like me, you fell in love with J.R.R. Tolkien's elves and ever wondered how it would be to "do it" with an elf, you will certainly enjoy Ms. McCray's elven world. I almost feel like saying "Legolas, eat your heart out..." ;-)

Summary
