"A little bit of woo-woo sets this book apart!"

Abby Gentry only wants one thing and that's to be Ranch Foreman at the Gentry ranch. Cinco, her big brother calls her Missy and still treats her like a baby so she's going to show him just how much she wants this job.

She and one of the ranch hands, Billy Bob, discover a man in the dry wash who is half dead and has been bitten by a rattler. Luckily Abby has anti-venom in her pack and they aren't far from one of the line shacks on the ranch. The man they find is their neighbor Grey Wolf Parker. Abby had a schoolgirl crush on him ten years before when he was a senior and she was 14. He had stood up for her to some bullies, which made him in her mind's eye a hero.

Abby stays with Gray while Billy Bob goes for help. That evening she has a very strange vision and when she looks at the cot where Gray is lying, he's disappeared. She faints dead away and that's how Gray finds her when he regains consciousness. Neither Abby nor Gray understands what's happened to them.

Later unusual things start happening and nobody can figure out if it's Gray or Abby who is in danger so Cinco decides to send them both away until things are figured out. Due to a misunderstanding Cinco thinks that Gray and Abby are engaged so he sees no problem with their going away together. Gray feels that he must marry a woman from his tribe and Abby has no intention of giving up her freedom so they are at an impasse. Still there is this vision that neither can understand.

This book was every bit as good as the Cinco's book. Abby and Gray are a match made in heaven if they will just accept that but they are both stubborn. The little bit of paranormal aspect just added to the flavor of the story and made it that much more enjoyable. Now, it's on to Cal's story.
