REVIEW

"A touching close to the Sullivan Sisters Trilogy"

Coming back home was not high on Kristen Sullivan's priority list. But, coming back meant facing the past and trying to heal old wounds. However, she was needed back in Gold Creek to help take care of her aging aunt. Ida Jane was more than just an aunt, she was mother to Kristen and her two sisters. The triplets were orphaned as babies and Ida Jane took them in and raised them as her own.

Returning means facing her son's father and re establishing family ties. However,Kristen isn't prepared for seeing another man in her past, her former high school sweetheart. Deputy Donnie Grimaldo is now divorced and raising his son alone.

He and Kristen both have similar situations including a single parent home. Donnie needs someone to care for his son and Kristen needs male guidance for hers. Donnie proposes a marriage of convenience, simply out of necessity.

Both try to tell themselves this is the best thing for their sons. However, deep down these two never stopped loving each other. As Kristen and Donnie both confront their personal issues they learn that their love for one another never died.

Realistic problems, flawed characters and enduring love make this a true to life story. Secondary characters revist and only enhance the tale. All of the characters through out this trilogy have evolved quite well, creating a strong sense of family value.

THE COMEBACK GIRL is a bittersweet end to these beloved triplets. Jenny, Andi and Kristen wove their way into readers' hearts and it is hard to let them go. Debra Salonen brings a touching close to this wonderful trilogy.

Summary

Jenny, Andrea and Kristin Sullivan are much more than sisters—they're triplets. Growing up as one of a threesome meant the days were never lonely...or dull. Now they're adults—with separate lives, loves, dreams and secrets. But underneath everything that keeps them apart is the bond that holds them together.

Kristin Sullivan has come home to set things right. She needs to reconnect with her family and she needs to introduce her son to his father. But coming back to Gold Greek means facing another man, Deputy Grimaldo. Their history is not a happy one.

The last thing she expects is a marriage proposal from Donnie, the high-school sweetheart she betrayed...but never stopped loving.
