Julie Bradley and Jim Morgan have barely tolerated each other most of their lives. While their families were considered the richest in the area, and they had playmates of each other's siblings, everyone in town knew that those two were oil and water, constantly bickering. Julie was able to control her yearnings, until her father left her the most valuable of land in the area. Summary
