"Love-life illuminating romance and sex quizzes"
"Who hasn't been drunk or dizzy with the prospect of
romance? Put your love to the test! For anyone who wants to
be kissed by Cupid's arrow or is already in a relationship,
these quizzes are a fun and provocative way to
discover how much you know about love." For most people, there is no more fascinating subject than
one's self, one's very own psyche, particularly when it
comes to romance. And if you loved taking Glamour and Cosmo
quizzes as much as I always have, you'll find working your
way through this cover-to-cover, lovelife-illuminating quiz
book a real kick! Don't be put off by the author's name ("Pepper"? not
because she has red hair, is it?). Research shows the good
Dr. has not only penned those magazine quizzes for years,
but is also a well-respected marriage therapist. Most questions keep things light, and the reader is never
pronounced so bad as needing immediate therapy/intervention
for anything. You may need some work, but you are basically
a Good Person at the end. Overall, these quizzes do actually give some direction in
regard to the men/women thing. Perhaps a better reference
for a younger audience, this is still a great deal of fun
for those of us over 40 (and well over 40). Quiz topics are
grouped in four main sections, each quiz with the scoring
table, a key to score ranges, and a more in-depth analysis
part as well. That way you can read your actual score, the
score you might have gotten if you had changed two answers,
or the score had you answered these questions at age 18. Or
you can answer as your wild alter-ego -- so many answers,
so little time! Yes, I took all of them, yes, I answered as
my alter-ego. What I felt was particularly helpful was the wide range of
responses she outlines. It gives the reader a better
perspective on where one can stand and still be considered
normal, important in these days of insecurity with the
opposite sex. Section One covers Are You Ready To Date Again? through Are
You Looking For Your Dad?, and covers what you need to
understand about yourself to make a good showing on the
date scene. Advice such as Never date when desperate,
and Stay home until you are over him, to You are a dating
goddess, you go girl. Section Two covers how to determine the right love for you
and how to maintain love. You can Rate Your Love I.Q.,
check to see Is Your Relationship Commitment-Ready?, and
discover Are You Being Strung Along? Pretty intriguing
stuff! And while it is not in-depth psychoanalysis, it
does bring out some important points to be aware of. And
single or married, you will want to know the answers to
this one: Is There Enough Romance In Your Relationship? Section Three goes over conflict and big decisions. Who has
the power, Are you honest, Ready for a baby, Twelve worst
problems of marriage, that sort of stuff. Not as
entertaining as the other sections of course, but if
you answer correctly, you'll feel you've dodged some really
depressing bullets. Section Four is about sex (thought she'd never get there!)
and what we need to know about building a great sex life.
(Count me in!) Is Your Foreplay Fabulous? doesn't tell you
how to fix it if it's not, but you can pour over the Are
You Sexual Soulmates? and the question all women have
wondered about at least once -- Are Your Orgasms As Amazing
As They Could Be? I mean, inquiring minds want to know!
