"An intense read."

Mylos Reed "Joker" Vincenzio, a SEAL Team sharpshooter, has been chosen to locate Llallana "Lily" Noretski. Lily, as a young girl, was sold as a sex slave and rescued by the CIA, who then subjected her to secret mind-control programs. Joker's mission is to retrieve a stolen weapon believed to be in her possession, and then to kill Lily before she can do more harm. Her "handler" is an unknown that has apparently become one of the bad guys and has activated Lily to become a suicide bomber.

Lily's life is all about rescuing young women sold into slavery. She knows that she has crossed the line, and that something is very wrong in her head. She trusts no one, not even herself.

Reed and Lily's story has much less humor than its predecessor, The Hunter. Reed has to become close to Lily while staying objective so that when the time comes, he can pull the trigger. Lily has so many lives depending on her and is so terrified her "handler" will find a way to trigger her again that her developing personal feelings for Joker are forced to take a backseat.

A very intense book.

With appearances by characters from the previous books, this book is another must read. And I still want the story for T and Alex, and for Jed. As I have said previously, if you like the writing styles of Linda Howard, Fiona Brand, Shannon McKenna, or Anne Stuart, then you will add Gennita Low to your instant purchase list.

Summary
