REVIEW

"Graham is dead bang perfect"

I have been a long time fan of Heather Graham. Her series works, her Historicals that are so rich in period, and her sexy Contemporary Romances. Few writers can shift from Category to Historicals to Mainstream with such ease as Graham. I love her Civil War books, her Florida Indian War books and especially her Scottish Sagas, following Clan Graham. She is simply amazing. A lot of romance writers, when they make the jump to Mainstream forget their romance roots. Not Graham. She is a genius from start to finish.

And Ghost Walk is another dead on target book. A keeper. There have been some great books set in New Orleans, and I am glad to see it still used as a locale. Remind us what was before Katrina and what can be again. In this wickedly sensual tale, Nikki DuMonde has the dream job of working for a haunted tour company in the Big Easy. I mean, are you talking about a job I'd kill for or what? Graham draws heavily on the history, the ambiance of the old city. This is just part of the job for Nikki. It's a bit jarring when the mundane become the supernatural, after her close friend dies. She at first question is she is losing it as the ghost of her friend begins to "walk" with Nikki. This fear increases as she realizes she is not only seeing her departed friend, but a few of her pals, too.

Enter Mr. Dishy...hum...Brent Blackwood. She expects the sexy man to laugh at her fears, but he seems to understand what she's going through. Naturally, as she copes with her newfound "friends" she understands she is now a target. Some one wants to send her on a permanent ghost walk of her own. Brent and Nikki create high energy, their sexual attraction sizzles in the fast paced, suspenseful tale.

Graham delivers a highly charged, original story that mesmerizes as only New Orleans and its magic can. I highly recommend this novel - and make it a double scoop delight, get Killing Me Softly by Jenna Mills. It's also set in New Orleans and is dark, devilish suspense at its best, too. They are a perfect pair

Summary

THIS IS NO DREAM...

Nikki DuMonde's newest employee is standing at the end of her bed at four o'clock in the morning begging for help. It's a joke, right? Besides, as manager of a successful New Orleans haunted-tour company, Nikki doesn't scare easily. But in the light of day, harsh reality sets in as a police officer informs her that Andy was brutally murdered—at the exact time Nikki swears the distraught woman was in her room.

No one believes her except Brent Blackhawk, a paranormal investigator desperately trying to forget his tragic past. Half Irish, half Lakota—and able to communicate with the dead—Brent is used to living in two worlds. But when he realizes the ghost of a slain government agent is also trying to reach out to Nikki, he knows that she, too, must listen to the dead...if she wants to keep living.
