REVIEW

"Definitely a Keeper!"

I don't like to read books that would apply to my every day life. I want to read books about people and places that are totally opposite of me and mine. I want to read about relationships almost too intense, and lifestyles almost impossible to imagine, the undercover world of spies and real time warriors fighting evil most people never know about, where each day or decision can be your last. You get the drift. Gennita Low offers the intense relationships, the total alpha male warriors, the living on edge lifestyles . . . she offers an escape into Spy Game and The Bourne Supremacy scenarios with the added kick of a scorching romance. I have read all of her published work several times each, and anxiously wait for each new installment.

Her latest offering, The Hunter, is a 4th installment in a series of counter terrorism books built around a romance, or maybe vice versa. While each book is a stand alone book, you do much better to read all of them in order because so many characters from previous books make appearances.

Lots of authors write loves scenes so bland that when reading their books, I just skip over those parts of it. Ms. Low writes scenes that could be termed erotica, but whatever you want to call it, I love her style. In The Hunter, she deals with terrorists financing their endeavors with gun running, prostitution and slavery.

Hawk McMillan, a Navy SEAL, is infiltrating a terrorist/slavery ring, trying to find out who is the king pin so that his team can bring him down. Amber Hutchens is a CIA tracker that he needs for his current mission. Because of the very serious nature of their work, the practical jokes they pull on each other, kind of a let off steam exercise, are hilarious and inventive. From the first page on, I could not put this book down. I am anxiously awaiting the next book, and cannot recommend this book, or its predecessors, enough. If you like the writing styles of Linda Howard, Fiona Brand, Shannon McKenna, or Anne Stuart, then you will add Gennita Low to your instant purchase list.

While he prefers working solo, he will never be able to infiltrate his quarry's organization without help. His mission—and his life—depend on Amber Hutchens, an ace CIA tracker who knows the terrain . . . and whose fire and beauty are distractions that could get them both killed.

A dedicated professional, Amber knows she's placing her own life at risk by joining forces with this tough, enigmatic warrior. But many others will die if she doesn't. The biggest challenge will be resisting her attraction to Hawk—a battle that's becoming more difficult by the moment. Because caring too much can lead to mistakes.

And one mistake will be too many ...
