A veteran Federation Star Command captain, Conan would
have given his life in Earth's defense. His one secret
dream, in defiance of Federation Laws, is a woman of his
own. A real, live, Earthling woman, who will love him as
women once loved their partners and masters back on old
Earth.
The Security Enforcement Corps ends those dreams with the
flash of a bright steel blade. The Federation rulers have
ordered Conan's mutilation as an example for any who might
consider aiding another fugitive in his escape from
justice. Although Conan's copilot has saved his life, what
kind of life will it be without his right arm and his
