"Compressed novella with lots of hot loving"
While travelling in Scotland, American businesswoman Janet
Duval stumbles into the 11th century, where she is
immediately scooped up by Euan Donald, King of the
Highlands. He makes her his bride as quickly as possible,
and then begins to love her senseless. Janet and her friend
Morag, who went into the past with her, have to make a hard
decision -- are they going to stay with the men they love,
or are they going home to their own time? This book is hot -- your typical Jaid Black -- but it has a
compressed feel to it. The characters and plot are
interesting, but this novella is really sex with a story
pulled around it to 'nicen it up'. WARLORD is a fun read,
but doesn't have the depth of some of Black's other works.
It does have a good emotional base to it, though, and is
well worth picking up.
