Meanwhile, back in New Orleans, Cayenne Dover has been experiencing some rather disturbing dreams. They've all been erotic and she always wakes up just before the "good part". These dreams have been disturbing enough that Cayenne finally decides to confide in her renter, a psych major at Tulane. Cayenne still lives in the house she grew up in, even though her parents died in a car accident eighteen years ago. Not only did they leave her the house, they also left her pretty well off. Even though she really doesn't need to financially, Cayenne rents out a couple of rooms in her house to students in Tulane. When her renter finally leaves to stay with her boyfriend for the weekend, Cayenne cleans up the kitchen and decides to take a shower. The next thing you know, Cayenne is so hot, she's in physical pain. Even her softest towel feels like sandpaper. When she gets to her bedroom, he's there waiting for her, the man from her erotic dreams! And as hot as Cayenne is, this man, Malik, gets just as cold.

It turns out they come from a totally different dimension and Cayenne is actually a Flame Keeper. When her parents died, Cayenne had a guardian. Her guardian never told Cayenne any of this.

What are these powers Cayenne has? Is Malik really her mate? Wll Cayenne believe Malik or not?

MYSTIC KEEPER 1: CAYENNE is an erotic tale of mystic beings from a different dimension. Aubrey Ross has done a wonderful job of enticing the reader to continue reading just to answer the above questions. The characters are all realistic, the action is hot, and cold, and I can't wait for the next one in this series!
