"Hot story of the birth of the world!"

Once again, Lilith has found her mate, Sammael, with another woman. The last time she caught him "in the act", he promised her he would never seek the "Dark Splendor" with another female. But then again, what did she really expect from him? He is a demon, just like she is, after all. So what does she do? She runs and decides to go into the light. This is the one place she knows Sammael won't follow her. Up and up in the water she swims until she just can't anymore.

Adam sees something deep in the water, something that shouldn't be there. As the first human, it's his job to name everything God has created and he doesn't recall seeing anything like this. Well, Adam dives in and pulls her out. It's a woman! The first thing running through Adam's mind is this must be his mate. This woman has the most beautiful blue eyes and except for the long black hair on her head, the woman has no more! He begins to touch her.

When Lilith opens her eyes, she sees a golden man touching her. She can sense another nearby, but can't see anyone. Jetrel is watching Lilith and Adam. When they finish, he grabs Lilith and transports her to a cave. Even though she is his brother's mate, Jetrel has always wanted Lilith. When Lilith renounces her mate, Jetrel has the next chance with her.

Will Lilith accept Jetrel's wooing of her? Will Jetrel manage to win Lilith? What of Adam?

LILITH'S LEGACY 1: ADAM is an intriguing account of the first man and demons. Aubrey Ross has given us a highly interesting look into the world when it was first created. I really enjoyed the look into the society of the demons. The characters all stay true to form, the setting is original and I really loved the serpent. I can't wait for the next book in this very original series!
