"Disney won't be doing anything this erotic!"
Jeenai has been coming here and watching her for quite
some time now. His brother has even noticed he no longer
has any interest in doing all the things Carageenai do.
So, reluctantly, Jeenai agrees to accompany his brother to
the nightly revel and feast. After mating with a fem,
Jeenai gets something to eat and goes home. He has no
interest in anything anymore. Nothing but the split-tail
fem anyway. Helena is quite content on her island home. Her
grandmother left it to her and she moved here after she
broke off her engagement. She loves to walk along the
beach at night. One night, she decides to go for a swim.
Unfortunately, she gets caught in an undertow and knows
she's drowning. She winds up being saved by the man of her
dreams, tall, dark and handsome. Instead of taking her
home, he throws her on the beach and disappears. Finally, Jeenai's brother has enough and tells him to see
the Sea Hag. She will be able to give him legs and change
him so he can breathe air. Of course, the Sea Hag has a
price. He has to mate with her and give her his seed.
There are other conditions as well. He must hear Helena
tell him she loves him; if she doesn't, he will become sea
foam. He will remain what he is, he won't be able to speak
and even though he will have legs and feet, every step he
takes will feel like knives cutting through him. The Sea
Hag also tells Jeenai if salt water hits him, he will
revert to his Carageenai form. What happens when Jeenai gets to land? Will Helena fall in
love with the handsome man, especially as strange as
he is? Will she believe him about his past? WITH STEPS LIKE KNIVES is quite the reversal of THE LITTLE
MERMAID. Of course, I can't imagine Disney doing anything
this erotic. I really love the way Megan Hart took the old
fairy tale and put her unique twist on it. The settings of
this story are fantastic, I really loved the old house
Helena inherited. I enjoyed how Megan Hart made the man
play the part of THE LITTLE MERMAID in her version and
how Helena is getting over her broken engagement. If you
like THE LITTLE MERMAID, you will love WITH STEPS LIKE
KNIVES.
